Changelog

2024-11-18 - V3

• Reduced the duration of all LONG PUSH controls from 1 second to 0.5 seconds

• Altered the LONG PUSH functionality of the red AP DISENGAGE button to better align with the behaviour of other profiles

  • SHORT PUSH will disengage the Autopilot, as before. Repeat the action to silence the alarm and stop the AP P/RST annunciator from flashing

  • LONG PUSH (1 second) will disengage the Autothrottle. Repeat the action to stop the AT P/RST annunciator from flashing

• The previous behaviour, where a long push would toggle the rarely-used AP Disengage bar, can still be selected on MobiFlight Input tab if desired

Important - Vertical Speed Display

PMDG's Vertical Speed display relies on some legacy code. Install FSUIPC7 and Enable Data Broadcast to get the V/S display working.

Note: If you've just installed the PMDG 737, ensure you have loaded into the variant (737-700, 737-800, etc.) at least once, and pushed a button on the FMC. This is a required step before enabling Data Broadcast.

Enabling Data Broadcast 

Locate your 737_Options.ini file:

Add the following to the end of the 737_Options.ini file

Do this for each {AIRFRAME} folder, if you have more than 1 variant (e.g. 737-700 and 737-800)

Pilot Notes

The MobiFlight setting Automatically perform Retrigger Action with Run Mode should be disabled when using this profile. Failure to do so causes unwanted commands when the profile is Run.

Flight Directors

It's normal for only one Flight Director LED to illuminate, even if both FDs are selected On, because only one of the FDs is Master. This is the way the real aircraft works.

TOGA

TOGA is commanded when N1 THR is pushed for 1 second.

EFIS Controls

TFC (TCAS Traffic Display) is activated when EFIS RANGE is pushed for 1 second

The MINS, BARO and EFIS RANGE knob push all function as they would when you push the knob on the real aircraft.

Crew Wheel Steering (CWS)

CWS A and CWS B are activated  CMD A or CMD B LONG PUSH for 0.5 seconds. The corresponding CMD button will blink when CWS is engaged.

A/P and A/T DISENGAGE

Both controls are on the red DISENGAGE button.

• SHORT PUSH to disengage the Autopilot. Repeat the action to silence the alarm and stop the AP P/RST annunciator from flashing

• LONG PUSH (0.5 seconds) will disengage the Autothrottle. Repeat the action to stop the AT P/RST annunciator from flashing

Intervene

SPEED INTERVENE and ALTITUDE INTERVENE are integrated directly into the corresponding knob. Push the knob to intervene.

Course 2

COURSE 2 is set as follows:

• Push COURSE knob. Display dims. COURSE 2 is displayed

• Dial in desired course using the knob

• Push COURSE knob. COURSE 1 is displayed. Brightness goes back to normal.
